February 2nd 2015 Cebu City

50 plus story highrise going up.

My favourite morning hang out place.
In the morning after switching rooms I head out to find McDonalds to have my morning coffee. As I walk down the street I can feel a slight perspiration on my skin due to the humidity. On my way to McDonalds I notice a 50+ story tower going up but it very thin. I don't know if I would trust living in such a place as I am unfamilar with Philippine construction but judging on what I have seen around here I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in it.

I arrived at McDonalds and ordered a large coffee "double double" and she didn't understand that so I said "Cream and sugar please!" with 2 sausage & egg mcmuffins and she then repeats my order and says "So you want 1 sausage McMuffin and a hash brown right?". I am thinking hashbrowns? WTF?? where did that come from so I repeat my order and she gets it. When my coffee comes I am horrified that they give me 2 small packet of COFFEE MATE for my cream so I ask for cream and she nods "no" they don't have cream. So my bill comes to 179 pesos ($4.50 cdn) which is half of what it would be in Canada for the exact same thing and coffee is 40 pesos ($1 cdn) and I didn't feel confident to ask for a free refill at that price so just went up and paid for my second cup of coffee. I noticed she charged me only 10 pesos (25 cents) for my first coffee and 40 pesos for my second so I can only assume she made a mistake on the first one.

As I sat down I could feel a cold wet drip coming off the air conditioner above me and landing on my lap every 15 seconds.
