February 17th 2016 Bacolod City- PrePaid Philippine cell phone

I bought a cheap pre-pay cell phone yesteday at POS Digital in Robinsons mall. The phone was 699 pesos ($19 cdn) and my "smart" sim card was 39 pesos ($1 cdn) which gives me my local Philippine phone number. Texting is 1 peso per text ( 3 cents). I bought 100 pesos ($3 cdn) worth of load for the phone to get me started and it is easy to load your phone as loading centers are everywhere throughout the Philippines. The load expires after 30 days so you don't want to put too much on if you don't think you will use it in 30 days. Did you know that the Philippines is the texting capital of the world with 2 billion texts sent every day!
This morning I was in McDonalds at 4:30am as I grabbed my coffees and sat down. I saw a group of filipinos talking loudly and assumed they were drunk. One by one they walked to the washroom going past me where 2 of them looked at me and in the gayest and nasalist voices say "Goooood mooooorniiiiiiiing" at which point I realized they were gay and I just said hi. So 7 of them were in the washroom behind me and they sounded like hyper school girls making the weirdest and immature sounds and giggling. I certainly don't pass judgement on anyones sexual orientation but if you could hear these filipinos and the gay noises they were making it was almost unbearable for me to listen to. Then they all walked out of the washroom together walking femininely back to their table and looking in the mirrors on the McDonalds walls and just being completely weird. Then 2 ladyboys showed up and joined them all so there were 9 of them. Lucky for me they left and went outside on the patio where I didn't have to hear or see them.

Today will be my last day in Bacolod city and will be taking the ferry tomorrow morning to Illoilo city which is on another island. I also hope to meet my friend Anna tonight who lives here. It is her 33rd birthday so hope to take her out for her B-day tonight. She is the one who suggested I go to POS Digital to pick up a cheap phone.
