February 3rd Cebu City- Downtown Shopping

Why go to the theater when you can pick up your new dvd movie on the street for the same price of admission.
After touring Fort San Pedro I walked behind it to check out the ferries which takes you to the other islands. It is located on the left hand side of Fort San Pedro where all the different ship carriers are located.

Afterwards I headed back downtown and was just window shopping and saw some sandals but they didn't have my size. I am size 13 and the biggest they had was a size 10. A young woman came out with a different style sandal that although it was a size 9 I could still get my foot inside it as I needed sandals when I shower so my feet don't touch the floor so I bought them for 138 pesos ($3.50 cdn) and also bought a money belt for 110 pesos ($2.75 cdn). As I left that shop I saw a few booths selling pirated movie dvds of the latest movies that are still in the theaters! Nice pirated versions with nice pirated covers at a fraction of the cost for your viewing pleasure.

7 Eleven stores are very popular in South East Asia and I usually go to them to get milk. I bought a milk and an apple juice and sat down where they had tables and chairs for customers. As I sat drinking my beverages a strange looking asian guy passed by and glanced over at me as he passed. His skin looked whiter than normal like he had something on his face but he walked by so fast I didn't really have time to look but a few minutes later I see him and his male friend behind an aisle and they occasionally glanced over at me where I realized they were ladyboys checking me out. It was creeping me out so I chugged down my apple juice and left with my milk in hand.

Because the weather has been somewhat cool here in Cebu with the clouds covering the sun I really hadn't felt the need for sun tan lotion until I left 7 eleven I began to feel my arms and see that they were red and that I was burning so I decided to stop everything and just head back to the hotel and download pictures to the blog for a few hours until the sun goes down. From now on I will be wearing sun tan lotion regardless if the sun is out or not.
