March 2nd 2015 Journey from iloilo city to Roxas city and my PINK hotel

Last day in iloilo city.

On my bus to Roxas, just leaving the Tagbac bus terminal in iloilo when I spot the CANADA LINES jeepney pass by.
I see a lot of these rooster farms where the rooster basically just lives in a simple tee-pee like the ones shown. I guess they raise them for cock fighting which is a huge sport in South East Asia.

Welcome to the Flamingo Hotel! Well it is the Roxas City Boulevard Lodge that was in my Lonely Planet book. There are 35 rooms and the place is virtually vacant.

Garages on the right hand side for vehicles.

When I came to my room I noticed all the lights were switched off in the hall and later last night when I came back I could hardly see so turned on one of the hallway lights to get to my room and when I woke up this morning someone had shut off that hallway light. I guess they are conserving on their power bill here due to no customers.

Even the bed is PINK! I must admit that pink is a very tranquil colour and has a way of calming the nerves. I have a hunch that a woman owns this place.

Unfortunately the faucet doesn't work and neither does the shower so I have to shower the old fashion way with the bucket and scooper in the morning. There are always buckets with scoopers in them in every place I have been to here.

I got the economy room with a fan only for 450 pesos ($12 cdn).
At 6am I went to McDonalds and had my usual coffee and hotcakes before grabbing a taxi (138 pesos) to the Tagbac bus terminal for a Ceres bus to Roxas. The taxi driver took me to the Roxas bus and I got there just in time as I sat down for a few minutes on the bus and we were off.

The bus ride was 165 pesos ($4.50 cdn) and took 3 hours. Got to the Roxas bus station and then grabbed a motorized tricycle into town (100 pesos) and checked into the Roxas City Boulevard Lodge which was mentioned in my Lonely Planet guide book. As you can see it is very PINK inside and out.
