April 3rd 2015 Bohol Island Day 2- Driving to Chocolate Hills

Heading to the middle of the island where Chocolate Hills is located. These are Mahogany trees.
It is Good Friday tonight and most of the gas stations were closed so these police officers in Batuan helped me out and drove around to find someone selling gas in 1 liter pop bottles. That is the police chief in the middle.
Just a few kilometers  past Batuan is the entrance to Chocolate hills.
I rented a scooter for 500 pesos for the day and headed out to find Chocolate hills which is a natural formation. Today is Good Friday and I didn't know that most of the gas stations as well as other businesses would be closed today.

As I headed inland and came to the town of Batuan I noticed my gas is getting low where I really want to find a gas station before proceeding anymore into the countryside and find that all the gas stations are closed due to the holiday Good Friday. I see 5 police officers sitting around in a park and I ask them where I can get gasoline and they were extremely helpful where the police chief says "Just stay right here. We will go out and find you gasoline". I waited 20 minutes and they came back with 2 liters of gasoline.

I then continued on my way another few kilometers out of Batuan and came to the entrance of Chocolate Hills.
